The Target Wedding Registry
If you are a bride-to-be, congratulations! You probably have a lot on your plate right now. Have you decided on a wedding registry? A wedding registry helps guests by letting them know exactly what you need for your new life.
The Target wedding registry is called Club Wedd. A bride can sign up for the registry at any Target store or online. Target, and wedding experts in general, recommend that you sign up as early as possible. This will make it easier on you and your gift buyers. You will have more time to choose what you want added, and your guests will be able to budget accordingly if they wish to purchase an expensive item.
You can update your Club Wedd at anytime if you do it online. You can also update it in person. You should probably choose to have your gift list display online, because it will be easier for your guests. You can email people to let them know you have a Target wedding registry, and include a link to the site.
Choosing Target Is A Way To Watch The Bottom Line
Think of it this way: your gift givers just might be so grateful, they might spend more than they would have originally. Now, that is probably not your intention. But know that it is okay to feel good about yourself for choosing Target. Times are tough all over, and sometimes people are struggling but putting on a brave front so it doesn’t show. Some brides have received duplicate items and because they did not have a receipt, they were unable to return them. There seems to have been a rash of these occurrences in 2009 and 2010. It was almost certainly due to a faulty website that would not update purchases already made for a particular registry.
The Target return policy is clearly stated on their website. Let’s be honest. Most of us don’t read things like this. Return policies, user agreements and other web, forum or email policies are not always read by people who are signing up for the services. Whose fault is that? Hmm¦suffice it to say it is our responsibility to learn about the agreements we are entering into, and it’s probably not fair to blame a company or website for our own negligence.
Target Wedding Registry Is A Great Idea
For all the people who criticize Target’s Club Wedd, there are just as many people who have had a positive experience. Some brides register with more than one site, and that might be something to consider. While Target offers some great deals, they don’t have everything a bride and groom will need to start their new lives together. So feel free to limit what you add to your Target wedding registry. It’s fine to use another site in addition to Target, just make sure you let your guests know about it.
