Below are some tips to make everything more convenient:
– Buy a notebook and go down every present it is receiving.
– Some stores give away the notebook.
– Start writing the cards as you start to receive gifts.
– Make stickers with your names and full address.
– If you have time, make labels with the addresses of the guests as well. It will be easy, because you’ll already have all the addresses on your list.
– To thank the closest relatives may be in person.
– The way of writing, will depend on the degree of intimacy you have with the person.
– What to write? I like the idea of mentioning the gift received. The guest is super happy.

1 – With formality:
Mr. John and Mrs. Jane,

2 – For friends:

NOTE: See that there is no rule to write the card. The more natural is better.
